# Polymarket

> Link a boost round to a Polymarket market and the side that must win.

Use this when the round should wait for a **Polymarket** market. Polymarket is the larger choice: the markets already exist, you pick one, and you cannot write your own question there. A typical case is the one in the wizard: launch only if your chosen side wins the market you pick.

This is the same choice on [Create a boost](https://docs.heroboost.me/guides/boost/create.md) and on [Later rounds](https://docs.heroboost.me/guides/boost/rounds/later.md). You do not set up a second kind of market for a later round. On one round you pick Polymarket or an [IMD Oracle](https://docs.heroboost.me/guides/boost/outcome-gates/imd-oracle-question.md) question, not both.

**1. Turn the market link on**

On the first round, use **Link launch to a prediction market** under **Tip conditions**.

On a later round, under **Prediction market gate**, choose **On — link a prediction market for this round**. Leave it off if this round should not wait for a market. This round uses Polymarket or an IMD Oracle question, not both.

**2. Search and read the brief**

Search for a market, event, and outcome. After you pick one, **Your prediction market** shows the event, the market, the outcome, and when it can resolve. Read that brief before you continue. Choose an open market.

**3. Choose the side that must win**

The boost page will label this **Success means this side wins**. Launch waits until that side is the one that won.

**4. Set when funding ends**

**Funding ends** must be on or after the market resolve time shown on the brief. On a later round, link the market before you propose, and keep the round’s close on or after that resolve time.

If you never link a market, launch depends on funding and the launch code. The boost page then says **No prediction market linked**.
