# No Down Baseline Protection

> A price floor (the lowest dollar level) on USDC and tokenized-equity rounds. It is a protocol rule, not a promise of trading price.

**No Down Baseline Protection** is a price floor (the lowest dollar level the protocol records on a boost). It is not a promise that the token will trade at that price.

* **USDC and tokenized equity (B20)** rounds can record that dollar level. Later rounds have to respect it.
* **Another ERC-20** (any other token, for example WETH) does not set that level, because those prices move too much. If an earlier USDC or B20 round already recorded one, a later round in a more volatile token still has to respect it. That later round does not raise the stored level above the earlier one.

The same caution is on [How a Boost works](https://heroboost.me/goal/boost-framework-feature): a recorded floor is a protocol rule, not a trading guarantee.

The same boost can run several rounds. These videos show one public example:

* [Accept and launch (video)](https://youtu.be/r_6g1O1WCbI?t=116) — Round 1 in USDC records the price floor (from about 1:56). Later rounds cannot go below it.
* [Round 2 with tokenized equity (video)](https://youtu.be/yAjC0CQ8M20) — a B20 round on that boost.
* [Round 3 in WETH (video)](https://youtu.be/NJT3G5FzgnY) — another token, whose price moves too much to set a new floor. The round still respects the earlier floor and does not raise it.
